    responsibilities
    • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of systems with minimal supervision.
    • Troubleshoot complex control systems malfunctions and write modifications in multiple systems.
    • Consult with customers to provide field proposals for equipment upgrades and retrofits.
    • Manage assigned work efficiently, coordinating activities with branch and service managers and subcontractors.
    • Mentor control technicians, service technicians, and mechanical technicians in building automation.
    • Complete project and service documentation accurately.
    • Provide field change information for engineering corrections and drawings.
    • Train customers in control systems operations and deliver necessary documentation.
    • Adhere to safety standards and provide safety leadership.
    • Compile project documentation and coordinate drawings and equipment schedules.
    • Assist in material selection, ordering, and tracking for projects.
    • Ensure proper loading and commissioning of controllers.
    • Keep stakeholders informed of job progress and issues.
    • Participate in site-specific training for building control system owners/operators.
    • Engage in self-study to maintain technical proficiency.
    • Attend release meetings with project field teams.
    • Five to seven years of experience in installing and servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment.
    • Ability to coordinate work on multiple job sites.
    • Effective interpersonal skills and professional representation of the company.
    • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.
    • Proficiency in writing and understanding of computer programs and software applications related to the HVAC Industry.
    • Knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
    • Understanding of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and building subsystems.
    • Experience in integrating low-voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols
    • Advanced computer skills, including computer-related drafting tools.
