    Director, Technical Production - Hextech Engine

    League Studio is the entity within Riot Games that develops League of Legends, Wild Rift, TFT, and Legends of Runeterra.

    To support the aspirations of these games, the Studio makes significant investments in developing and advancing the League game platform through the Tech Foundations team.

    Hextech is a team within Tech Foundations that is accountable for the technology encompassing the engine, tools, and developer experience that is shared between all the games within the studio.

    Our mission is to provide an end-to-end solution optimized for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra, including a runtime, suite of content development tools, services, and support.

    As the Director of Technical Production on Hextech, you will spearhead the development of sustainable and efficient processes across various teams, guiding and mentoring these teams to fulfill their commitments successfully.

    Additionally, you will provide the necessary support to align team efforts with strategic priorities, ensuring that work is carried out sustainably and with a focus on continuous improvement.

    You will report to the Senior Director of Technical Production for Tech Foundations.

    Lead the Hextech Technical Production team including coaching, mentoring, hiring, and performance management to ensure a world-class production team.

    Own the initiative work system, including rituals, tracking, reporting, and partner management.
    Contribute ideas and drive improvements to areas beyond your immediate ownership across different teams and disciplines.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent organizational leadership and experience applying Agile and Lean development processes at scale.
    Understand product management and how to navigate around constraints while finding balanced solutions.
    Experience working with teams building software for internal users.
    Experience working with teams building engine capabilities or gameplay features.

    Experience in game development or understanding how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features for a modern game.

    Experience managing managers.
