    Description

    Sr. Procurement Specialist | Hybrid: Rockville, MD

    $45-50/hr | 6 Month Contract to Hire

    The Sr. Procurement Specialist is a hands-on position responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services for a USAID funded program, a large global program to advance the quality of medicines in lower and middle income countries.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • 5-7yrs experience in Procurement
    • Bachelors preferred
    • International Procurement Experience
    • Extensive experience with U.S. Government procurement rules and regulations ( 2CFR200, 48 FAR , USAID)
    • Strong time management and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines; highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Experience managing procurements in challenging, non-US environments
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and at-times competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong multicultural communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, particularly to problem-solve issues that arise
    • Proven capability to productively support HQ and field office staff
    • Demonstrate ability to cooperate in a team environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • High level of proficiency with office technologies and computer application including MS office products, database systems and the internet
    • Experience with other international donor policies ( WHO, World Bank, DFID)
