The System Administration Specialist's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support the State of Missouri's core organizational functions and websites. This is achieved by effectively leveraging all networked software and applications throughout the lifecycle (Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Operation, and Retirement).
The Systems Administration Specialist will be responsible for the support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server applications for both public-facing and internal networks. Successful candidates must be organized, self-motivated, and enjoy a challenge. This specific position is a team lead for our Windows enterprise shared web hosting team and administers hundreds of sites both internal and external for the State of Missouri. This position also entails keeping up with IT-related requests, researching new web hosting technologies to improve current systems, working on individual projects as well as projects within a group, requesting and installing certificates, creating new servers and new sites, and working with app dev on-site deployment or maintenance. Candidates will also need to be a team player and possess the skills necessary to teach others about complex topics.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).
