Our client is an amazing small to midsized consumer services company that continues to expand and invest in its employees. The organization offers not only services but also products in the technology and retail space. They are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their team. The Staff Accountant has lots of room to grow and the firm loves to promote from within

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant in consumer services reports to the Accounting Director and is responsible for assisting the Finance Department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization as well as performing account analyses and reconciliations.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

The Staff Accountant will prepare and review journal entries in the general ledger for monthly and year-end close.
Work daily in Quickbooks to maintain accurate accounting records.
The Staff Accountant will assist with the preparation of monthly financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting as needed.
Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts as the Staff accountant.
Maintain prepaid expense schedules and post-amortization as the Staff Accountant.
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
Assist in annual audit.
Prepare accounting records, schedules, and other financial reports to support the accuracy, & completeness of company financials.
The Staff Accountant will establish records of accounts and entries into proper accounts.
Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records in QuickBooks.
Other duties assigned as needed to Staff Accountant.
Understanding of accounting software, as the company is considering the implementation of a new ERP system this year.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Accountant.
The Staff Accountant has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and sense of urgency as Staff Accountant.
The Staff Accountant is Self-driven to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
Capability to work independently.
Flexibility to multi-task and adjust to priorities.
The Staff Accountant has the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
