Summary:


The Human Resource Director will assess, create, analyze, evaluate and implement current HR policies, procedures and activities, as well as supervise assigned staff within the Human Resource (HR) department.

The HR Director will be expected to provide legal counsel and compliance while staying aligned with the organization's vision and mission.


The HR Director's responsibilities will include:
employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compensation administration, organizational communications and other standard human resources activities.

The HR Director's broader scope of supervision includes overseeing:
employee engagement, training and development and safety.


_Responsibilities:

  • Actively partners with department leaders to establish, implement and monitor shortterm and longterm strategies for driving business results.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Conducts regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS)
  • Paycom.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists in any performance management facility initiative(s) (performance appraisals, succession planning, talent review, employee communication meetings, employee surveys, organizational charts, etc.).
  • Provides coaching and counseling to the management team and associates.
  • Meets with line managers to discuss associate performance and provide coaching.
  • Conducts compensation surveys and reviews, determines appropriate compensation levels for the organization.
  • Manages the safety and worker's compensation program in conjunction with EHS Specialist.
  • Makes recommendations for corrective action, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures applicant data is collected as necessary to meet state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Administers group insurance (all locations) plans including enrollment, changes, terminations
  • Cobra, claims, responding to employee questions and concerns and acting on their behalf in researching issues.
  • Work with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, benefit platform and payroll department to properly administer employee benefits/deductions for all employees.
  • Manages the full leave of absence process: FMLA/CFRA/ADA-DFEH/WC/PDL, etc. insuring proper notifications to all parties at each step in the process and determining employment status. Including following up with doctor's updates, benefit payments, meet with employees for general questions while on leave, interactive process, work with supervisors on any needs for work accommodation for employee.
  • Manage yearly benefits open enrollments with broker and insurance carriers including employee meetings, employee communications, flyers, brochures for all locations.
  • Administers all updates to yearly Benefit brochures, 401(k) brochures, WRAP plan for all locations.
  • Ensures Workers Compensation Administration including reporting recordable injuries to WC carrier and all follow up appointments and needs for work accommodation for any injuries is done accurately and timely. Facilitates WC process for injured employee acting as liaison between WC carrier and employee.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA requirements. Ensuring data accuracy and proper reporting to IRS and accurate/timely form distribution to employees.
  • Delegates to coordinate the quarterly employee engagement/wellness events
  • Ensure compliance of all notices and website submission to both employees and proper agencies (Medicare Part D notice, OSHA Log Injuries, SAR notices for both Medical Plan and 401(k))
  • Conduct yearly FSA and Dependent Care D
