Work with the nation's leading public health experts supporting CDC's Division for Healthcare Quality and Promotion.
Collaborate with a diverse team of laboratory professionals, epidemiologists, public health analysts, data analysts, and developers supporting the integration of data between public health labs and CDC.
Help develop and maintain the system used by CDC to enable interoperability between local, state and regional public health labs and CDC for the transfer and sharing of data.
The mission of CDC's DHQP is to protect patients; protect healthcare personnel; and promote safety, quality, and value in both national and international healthcare delivery systems.

Based on provided specifications, create scripts to successfully receive patient demographics and laboratory test results from public health laboratories and state health departments.
Tailor end user interface according to customer requirements.Based on provided specifications, tailor scripts to allow the successful transmission & processing of results submitted to the CDC's Data for Action on Antibiotic Resistance Threats (DAART) portal and Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Network (ARLN).
Participate in internal script review for each tailored interface provided to end user.Capacity to quickly troubleshoot technical issues including researching new concepts that may be required to meet the demands of the fast-paced.
Ability to provide guidance to other development staff related to electronic messaging interface projectsYou'll Bring These Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science/Mathematics, Information Services Management degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years relevant work experience. HL7 2.X experience (Required)
SQL programming experience
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within time constraints.
Must be organized, able to learn quickly, and work independently as well as coordinate efforts with other team members on universal customer issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
