Headquartered in Alpharetta, GA, U.S. Orthopaedic Partners (USOP) is a high-quality full-service integrated orthopedic care platform that provides the full continuum of musculoskeletal treatment, including surgical and non-surgical care, to patients in the southeastern United States.USOP's scalable platform enables physicians who join our organization to access our value-added services, such as a robust compliance department and best-in-class key performance indicators.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial package and work directly with the Controller to provide financial insight to executive and operational management.Example responsibilities include:

Preparing monthly financial package reports using Excel and Microsoft Dynamics reporting software
Analysis of clinic, corporate, and regional financial reports and provide feedback to department heads on variances.
General Ledger (Microsoft Dynamics) set up and maintenance.
Revenue and bad debt accounting/analysis
Manage relationships with outside advisors such as tax and audit firms.
Develop and implement financial controls and processes.
Manage 2-3 Accountants:

Payroll (labor) accounting
Purchase accounting for acquisitions.
Cash Accounting, including bank and clinic cash reconciliations.
Balance sheet reconciliations
Practice management/tax accounting.
Fixed asset accounting
Annual reports, business licenses and property tax filings
Sales/use tax filings
Annual audit

Accounting research and additional duties, as required.

Candidates who have been Sr. Accountant's and/or Accounting Managers looking for an opportunity to grow with a fast-paced private equity backed company are ideal candidates.The candidate must be able to effectively manage and motivate team members as well as have a strong ability to interact effectively with other departments.A history of using a midsized accounting package is a plus; however intense on-the-job training is available, as necessary.The candidate must possess very strong Excel skills.Candidates with general business curiosity and a strong interest in growing and learn professionally will thrive in this position.

Work Environment and Expectations:

The candidate must be able to think quickly, respond intelligently and hold themselves well in fast paced moving environments.This candidate will have exposure to the executive team, doctors, practice administrators, and other G&A function employees. This dynamic organization will provide opportunities for growth and career advancement for the right candidate.

The candidate will manage their own working hours, with an understanding that deadlines can and will create the necessity for flexibility with their working schedule.After ramping up period, work from home will be an option.

Skills Required:

Advanced - Excel skills, Communication skills
Advanced - Management and Relationship skills.

Experience Required:

5-10 years of post-undergraduate experience is recommended.

Public Accounting a plus

Multi-unit healthcare a plus

Computer Proficiency:
Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Intermediate to Advanced Skills with a midsized accounting package (Microsoft Dynamics Required)

Education:
College Degree - Required (Accounting); CPA Preferred
