- Using OMP forecasting tools, create an unconstrained consensus delivery-based demand plan using inputs ( statistical , sales, customer, marketing, product, etc.)
- Optimize statistical forecast for relevant products
- Build relationships and work with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance) to gain qualitative and quantitative information affecting demand forecasts
- Adjust forecasts throughout the product life cycle (new, replace-by, dropping)
- Use PowerBI to visualize and analyze data and to expedite business decisions
- Document assumptions and risks to the demand plan (with probability assessment) and highlight key changes from prior plans
- Facilitate and lead monthly IBP Demand Review
- Measure, create visibility and continuously improve forecast performance metrics (WMAPE, Bias, Baseline Forecast Improvement)
- Coordinate with Supply Managers and Financial Managers to build optimally balanced supply and demand plans which drive variable margin growth while achieving customer service targets at lowest cost to serve
- Identify options and manage forecast reapportionment in instances where demand is constrained by supply.
- Be strategically focused on the long-term, but make relevant updates in the tactical horizon to the demand plan, based on demand-sensing techniques and data (e.g., abnormal demand, order patterns, supply disruptions)
- Lead the discussion regarding short term demand variance in the Tactical Business Review meeting
- Perform "What-If?" scenarios based on price, market share, and competitive data
- Ensure data integrity and quality by reviewing data, identifying unusual occurrences, seeking explanations and assisting in developing corrections to prevent reoccurrences
- Demand forecasting - short-term sensing techniques and creating long-range demand plans
- Understanding of applied statistics and typical forecasting methods plus associated parameters

- Strong technology skills - forecasting systems, Microsoft suite, BI tools

- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university is required (Data Science, Supply Chain, or Engineering all preferred)
- Masters Degrees (MBA or Statistics) preferred
- 4 years of experience with demand planning and forecasting techniques
- End-to-End Supply Chain working knowledge and experience
- Experience working with forecast systems preferred (OMP most preferred, SAP, Logility, JDA, and others acceptable)
- Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF or ACPF) from Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning (preferred - must complete in first year after hire)
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification (preferred)

The Demand Manager is a key IBP (Integrated Business Planning) role, responsible for driving an effective and efficient demand planning process.
They achieve this goal by creating and then aligning cross-functional demand team members on an unconstrained consensus forecast (including upside and downside) aligned with segment and product strategies for a 27-month horizon, driving action plans to close demand gaps to target, reviewing forecast past performance to define actions to increase forecast accuracy, and working with their supply and commercial partners to create a 24-month constrained forecast, considering customer prioritization and scenario planning.
