    Description

    As a Seasonal Construction Testing Laboratory Technician, you will perform light to moderate labor-intensive field and lab duties and testing under the direction of other technicians or staff professionals with minimal analysis of data required. This full-time position will work out of the Braintree, MA location with occasional local travel within RI and MA. Training is available

    • Perform field and occasional lab testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications.

    • All testing reports and observations must be tabulated and submitted daily in an electric report

    • Reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and entering data related to the various job tasks.

    • You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order.

    • Interact with construction personnel, engineers and state and federal representatives while presenting yourself as a professional representative of the company.

    • Responsible for transporting material samples to laboratory for further testing and analysis

    • Driving and maintaining the appearance and operation of company vehicles to and from job sites.

    • All work with be conducted in accordance with OSHA regulations and RISE Safety standards

    • This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as on a variety of outdoor job sites

    • Position will entail occasional exposure to outside work, dusty environments as well as sedentary work.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Valid driver's license and clean record, driving company vehicle(s) is/are required

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Google docs

    • Ability to obtain certifications from OSHA, NICET, NETTCP, ICC and ACI within first year of employment is required

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a Seasonal position. Days and hours of work are part-time.

    Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 4 years of related experience, OR Associates Degree in related field and two (2) years' experience.
    • Demonstrated skill in cultivating and managing client and internal relationships to foster a positive working environment, to develop strong teamwork, and to resolve issues and problems in a positive manner.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability both within the company and in external business relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize, and manage risk/liability.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
