Description

Ivey Mechanical is seeking a project estimator to join our commercial plumbing and HVAC estimating team. Estimators are responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications and performing material and labor takeoffs for plumbing, piping and sheetmetal estimates. The estimator will also play a key role in the following areas:

Conceptual layout and design of mechanical systems
Budgeting and estimating of construction documents at various stages of completion
Working with vendors and suppliers
Assisting with project proposals and presentations
Maintaining historical cost breakdowns for future analysis
Attend job-site meetings as required pre-award and during construction
Participate in bid review meetings

We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability and willingness to learn or further develop their knowledge of mechanical systems, who can manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

Excellent listening skills and have strong communication skills
Ability to identify and resolve issues
Effective participation in team environment
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
The ability and willingness to learn how to perform On-Screen Take Offs
A strong work ethic and a solutions oriented attitude
