- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
- Provides education to patients according to their needs.
- Assists in the management of family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases of patient care.
- Provides crisis intervention as needed to all areas of the Hospital.
- Assists in current Title 25 process in evaluating patients and presenting information and reports for hearings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in an accredited Social Work program that enables the applicant to obtain a license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wyoming required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a clinical therapist providing mental health services to patients and families in a hospital or other health care facility or an outpatient setting preferred.
- Must have a current, valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Mental Health Professions Licensing Board.
- Must have current, valid BLS, or obtain within 60 days of employment and must maintain throughout employment with IMH.
- Must certify in nonviolence crisis intervention (MANDT) course within the first six (6) months of hire and must maintain throughout employment with IMH.
- Must have a current, valid Wyoming driver's license and must be eligible for IMH liability insurance.
- Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
- Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare standards and policies.
- Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement new ideas or systems.
- Ability to meet with the public outside the institution and efficiently market and promote behavioral health treatment.
- Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate effective listening skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
- Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
- Ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
