The State Data Processing Center of the Oberfinanzdirektion Karlsruhe is currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator (m/f/d) to be based in Forest Park, starting immediately.

This position requires a regular weekly working time of 39.5 hours.

The State Data Processing Center (LZfD) of the Oberfinanzdirektion Karlsruhe is the tax data center and central IT service provider for the tax administration in Baden-Württemberg.

With over 750 employees, the LZfD provides comprehensive IT services at its locations in Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, and Freiburg, including software development, scanning of tax returns, tax calculation, printing of tax notices, and technical support for all tax offices in Baden-Württemberg.

In addition, the LZfD also acts as an IT service provider for other authorities in Baden-Württemberg and other federal states.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining the IT infrastructure in the data center, planning and documenting the central IT infrastructure of the server rooms, installing data and network cables, coordinating and documenting server installations, and communicating with suppliers and managing external service providers.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling the mainframes and connected peripheral devices, monitoring access to and accompanying external personnel in the machine rooms.

An introduction to this interesting field of work will be provided. Ideally, you should have completed training as an IT specialist or have a comparable qualification, such as a skilled worker with many years
