Seeking a Naval Architect with expertise in Hydrodynamics in our Washington, DC office to perform design and analysis of new and existing ships and ship systems.
Perform hull form design and hydrodynamic analyses for ship designs.Analyze critical elements or performance of a design using analytic tools, model scale and full-scale testing, or prototyping as appropriate.
Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean EngineeringTwo or more years of experience in US Navy or USCG ship design or ocean engineering.
Experience working with ship system performance assessment and prediction methods, especially hydrodynamic design and analysis software including FastShip, Rhino, seakeeping and CFD tools.
Good interpersonal skills to work with project teams and stakeholders.Must be a US citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Skills in Microsoft Office
Good written and verbal (English) communication skills.
Master's Degree in Naval Architecture or engineering.
