    We are hiring a Senior Project Estimator!

    Company: Distributed Solar Development

    Distributed Solar Development is looking for a highly motivated Senior Project Estimator to join our team. As an essential part of our sales and pre-construction processes, the Estimator plays a crucial role in preparing proposal pricing for commercial solar projects. Working closely with various teams, the Estimator ensures accurate costing of sales designs and provides valuable feedback to enhance installation efficiency and proposal competitiveness.     Essential Responsibilities:
    • Support in preparing bids and proposals for commercial solar projects
    • Produce construction budgets based on project drawings
    • Perform detailed budget estimates using material and labor costs
    • Implement estimating software for project pricing
    • Engage with different teams during project stages
    • Review proposal specifications and engineering drawings
    • Provide quantity take-offs and cost-saving feedback
    • Develop scopes of works and maintain databases
    • Attend site walks to review field conditions
    • Build relationships with internal teams
    Required Qualifications:
    • Experience in construction and electrical trades estimation
    • Technical knowledge in budget take-offs
    • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel
    • General solar experience
    • Understanding of solar PV systems and construction best practices
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
    • Project management experience in solar projects
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Proficiency with Salesforce and Procore preferred
