- The Director of Development shall be responsible for continuous measurement of fundraising performance indicators including, grant revenue, unrestricted revenue, and donations.
- Build and help execute the annual fundraising plan.
- Collaborate with Funding Committee and management team to organize and execute mass appeal events, such as year end initiatives.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of potential board members that will aid in organizational growth and sustainability.
- Establish a funding plan aligned with annual budget.
- Maintain familiarity with annual organizational budget and communicate with finance department.
- Take proactive steps to monitor and address programmatic budget and resource needs.
- Actively track and manage unrestricted funds, including revenue from social enterprises
- Assist in the identification of gaps and resource needs in programmatic & operational budgets
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Help to recruit, train, and motivate fundraising volunteers.
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, and social media campaigns relevant to specific donor segments.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors and sponsors.
- Manage follow-up communication with all prospect and current sponsors and donors.
- Create a donor stewardship plan, up to and including the coordination of an endowment fund.
- Take advantage of community relations, speaking engagements, fundraising events, and communication tools like newsletters, blogs and other media platforms to reach donors and sponsors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Plan and execute annual fundraising gala in alignment with fundraising goals and other fundraising event opportunities.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for in-kind donations with strategic partners and sponsors
- Identify technology that may support and enable individual donor contribution
- Identify potential national and local foundations and corporations for fundraising and grant opportunities.
- Identify, apply for, and manage grant opportunities in alignment with organization's fundraising objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Collaborate with Operations department in the design, development and implementation of donor relationship management systems
- Create reports to analyze and measure the progress towards the fundraising goals and the fundraising campaigns' effectiveness in collaboration with Operations department.
- In conjunction with CFO and finance department, generate comprehensive funder reports that analyze and measure the progress towards fundraising goals and the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns.
- Track all funds raised across various funding initiatives.
- Report metrics to Senior Management team and fund development committee.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Preferred bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business administration or other relevant field of study
- At least three years of accounting experience and nonprofit sector experience highly preferred.
- At least three years experience in professional fundraising preferred.

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

- Knowledge and expertise in fundraising theories, principles, and procedures

Job Description
Job DescriptionThe Director of Development shall be responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising goals and initiatives to efficiently secure sponsorships and financial support for organizational growth. Strategic goals shall detail how to procure funding sources including, fundraising events, gifts in kind, grants, and capital campaigns. Additionally, they shall collaborate in identifying areas across the organization in need of additional funding/resource support, and set annual budgets that indicate the amount of funds needed for the organization's yearly fundraising programs.
The Director of Development shall be responsible for overseeing and managing relationships for all fundraising initiatives including, grant procurement and management, individual and corporate donor initiation and management, and capital campaign initiatives. As needed, they shall be responsible for assembling a development team to support fundraising efforts.
The individual shall collaborate with the Operations department to develop donor relationship management systems and databases to track funds raised and generate reports for senior management, fund development committee and relevant key stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year for the position of Director of Development. The final salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
