Job Title: Hotel Manager at Home2 Suites by Hilton - Grand Chute, WI

Description:

Department: Operations

Supervisor Title: General Manager

Job Summary: In charge of ensuring the overall success of the hotel. Required to meet or surpass planned revenue and profit goals while maintaining high guest satisfaction and product quality standards. Collaborate with the General Manager in overseeing all hotel areas to create a welcoming environment with exceptional guest service. Set a positive example for the staff to emulate.

Responsibilities:

Financial

Achieve budgeted revenue and profit targets.
Forecast revenue and expenses accurately.
Manage cash flow by anticipating revenue/cost issues and controlling discretionary spending.
Analyze financial and operational data regularly to adjust business strategies, labor needs, and costs.
Ensure staff is well-versed in financial control processes and adhere to them.
Generate precise and timely financial reports.
Spot major revenue and expense opportunities.
Forecast changes in occupancy based on market conditions.
Meet revenue and cost goals.

Human Resource Management

Oversee human resources activities such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Implement incentive programs to retain skilled employees.
Foster a harmonious work environment among staff and management.
Ensure all employees understand hotel objectives.
Maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with laws and regulations.
Administer personnel policies, pay practices, and benefits.
Ensure completion of training goals and development plans.

Associate Team

Make guest service the core focus of the hotel.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service.
Ensure all staff are well-informed about our guest service standards and are trained to exceed them.
Develop customer service initiatives.
Recognize and reward outstanding team performance regularly.
Maintain consistent guest service delivery.
Stay informed about guest service scores, comments, and needs. Actively contribute to achieving hotel service goals.

Operations

Familiarity with local safety regulations for the hotel.
Ensure completion and accuracy of departmental checklists by all employees.
Identify and rectify potential safety and security issues.
Adhere to key control system policies and procedures, ensuring staff compliance.
Maintain product standards through preventive maintenance programs and deep-cleaning schedules.
Involve staff in ongoing preventive maintenance activities. Protect hotel interests during capital projects.

Marketing and Sales Management

Create and execute marketing and sales strategies targeting different demand segments to increase revenue and market share.
Tailor marketing and sales plans for each sales period, including special initiatives for low occupancy periods.
Identify key accounts and actively engage through sales efforts.

Additional Responsibilities:

Fulfill other assigned duties.

Must possess a valid driver's license, insurance proof, and meet the required driving standards.

The hotel business operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This may require changes in work shifts to meet hotel and guest needs. As a hospitality business, a service-oriented atmosphere must be maintained consistently.

Upon hiring, all employees must adhere to rules and regulations for safe hotel operations. Violations may result in disciplinary measures, including termination.

Notice:

The hotel business operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Due to this, it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shifts to conform to the demands of the hotel and our guests. In addition, this is the hospitality business and a hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
