    Description

    1.0 SUMMARY

    The Support Specialist for Shipping & Receiving utilizes multiple methods to manage inventory daily to meet distribution demands.

    2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Receiving:


    • Ensures incoming deliveries are accurate and in good receipt.


    • Supports receiving incoming shipments; produce and distribute receiving documentation.


    • Distribute received materials to kits or stock as required; updates pick list as required.

    · Kit Staging:


    • Pulls job kits and update the pick list daily.


    • Issues parts to jobs & stages raw materials daily.

    · Inventory:


    • Performs physical cycle counts as required.


    • Maintains incoming component serial number log.

    · Vendors:


    • Pick materials for out-plant Work Orders.

    · General:


    • Stocks supply room with new goods and inventory as received.


    • Supports all departments in locating shortages if necessary.


    • Maintains tidy and professional appearance of stockroom.


    • Sort & scan closed out work orders.


    • Reports parts list discrepancies to Production Control.

    2.1 OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES

    2.2 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

    This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Some supervisory or team lead experience preferred for Level III skill set.

    2.3 TRAVEL

    This position does not include travel.

    3.0 SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

    · Knowledge commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in inventory management

    · Basic understanding of engineering drawings.

    · Basic Knowledge of Syteline ERP, Microsoft Office, especially in Outlook, Word and Excel.

    · Forklift operator certification required.

    4.0 EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    · Level I - Requires a high school diploma or GED with 0 – 3 years related experience.

    · Level II – Requires a high school diploma or GED with 4 – 7 years related experience.

    · Level III – Requires a high school diploma or GED with 8+ years related experience.

    · Training in general safety preferred

    6.0 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

    6.1 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds (as applicable), stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle and/or feel objects and use hands and arms to reach objects or materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    6.2 WORK ENVIRONMENT

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the production area is usually loud.
