Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Equity-Centered Loan Packaging Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our loan packaging processes are inclusive and equitable, with a focus on supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in accessing affordable housing finance options.

Starting Pay $28/hr
Paychecks are dispersed bi-weekly
Benefits:
- 40 Hours Per Week / 5 Days (Monday-Friday 8am5pm, 1hr lunch)
- Employer will contribute to your simple IRA up to 3% of your compensation for the year
- Medical Benefits after 90 days
- 10 days paid vacation after 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the loan origination team to develop strategies for promoting diversity and inclusion in the loan packaging process.
- Provide guidance and support to applicants from underserved communities, including individuals with low income, minorities, and marginalized groups.
- Conduct outreach and education initiatives to increase awareness of affordable housing finance options among diverse populations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and government agencies to facilitate access to housing resources.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in equitycentered lending.
- Assist in the preparation of loan packages, including gathering required documentation and verifying applicant information.
- Communicate effectively with applicants, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the loan packaging process.
- Compile data and prepare reports on loan packaging activities, outcomes, and impact on equity and inclusion goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, social work, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience working in the mortgage lending industry, preferably in a role involving loan origination, processing, or packaging.
- Knowledge of fair lending laws and regulations, with a commitment to upholding principles of equity and inclusion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter, including a passion for affordable housing and social justice.

Pay:
$28.00 per hour
