    Posted Friday, April 26, 2024 at 5:00 AMSUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe Compliance Specialist manages the due diligence and risk management responsibilities needed to ensure that carriers utilized by GlobalTranz meet GlobalTranzs compliance standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Analyze motor carrier data to determine whether carriers attempting to onboard with GlobalTranz meet the companys carrier qualification requirementsUtilize motor carrier monitoring services, government databases, and other resources during the due diligence process to identify and assess carriers that pose an unreasonable amount of risk to GlobalTranz; take actions to reduce that riskMaintain accurate background data on carriers and ensure proper record keeping in GlobalTranz operating systems; validate documents such as motor carrier agreements and insurance certificatesAccurately update company load management software systemsRespond timely to and escalate other carrier inquiries sent by carrier sales representatives and GlobalTranz agentsPromote strong ethical standards in day-to-day functions and among team membersPartner with internal and external parties to determine proper course of conduct when issues arise during the business relationship with carriersCollaborate with Manager of Contracts and Carrier Compliance to identify inefficiencies and develop effective policies and proceduresReview, analyze, and report on various legal issues and regulations pertaining to GlobalTranzs businessOffer ideas and suggestions to the Manager of Contracts and Carrier Compliance to improve upon the efficiency and effectiveness of the research projects that GlobalTranz pursuesEmbrace the opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the roleWork on special projects as they ariseSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma/GED requiredIn lieu of degree, combination of education and years of experience will be consideredProficiency in the Microsoft Office platform requiredADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS1-2 years experience in compliance role preferredIn lieu of education, compliance experience will be consideredRelated legal/compliance experience or background in logistics and/or trucking industries preferredHigh level of detail orientationStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet browsing, and search knowledge requiredAble to conform and promote the companys standards of conductAbility to communicate effectively using various methods such as phone, email, messenger, and in-personPersonal initiative: strives to learn and improve, seeks out ways to better themselves and the companyAbility to multitask in a fast paced, changing environmentSelf-motivated and hard-workingComfortable working with multiple computer operating systems and programs while completing tasks is critical to the success of this positionWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position operates in a professional office environment requiring prolonged periods in a stationary position working at a desk.

    Must be able to remain stationary 90% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as headsets, phones, printers, and photocopiers. The person in this position frequently communicates with coworkers who have inquiries about customer and carrier transactions. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations as observed in web portals and software programs.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    TRAVELTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
