    Your role.
    Your work will include, but not be limited to:

    • Apply your understanding of audit theories and procedures on client engagements to perform all phases of an audit, including planning and risk identification, internal control review and testing, substantive audit procedures, engagement wrap up, and financial statement preparation/review
    • Research and conclude on various accounting and audit issues in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)
    • Review staff work product while providing constructive feedback and identifying staff developmental needs.
    • Assist partners in developing ideas to help clients with operational and control opportunities, client presentations and selling opportunities.
    • Develop and execute a practice development plan which includes networking, new client development and client expansion activities.
    • Be a part of a growing team that builds relationships through mixers and various social functions
    • Opportunities to be involved in various firm-wide and/ or regional non-billable initiatives, including on and off campus recruiting, internal trainings, mentoring programs, development of thought leadership, professional standards fellowships, etc.
    The qualifications.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
    • CPA required
    • 10+ years of recent, related audit experience in public accounting
    • Specialization with clients operating as banks/credit unions is required; other public company and other financial services experience, including investment, mortgage, or other finance companies is a plus
    • Successful experience supervising and mentoring staff on engagements and for manager role, managing client relationships/engagements
    • Understanding of Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in the United States especially those that are financial institution specific
    • This position may require some local and national travel

    Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB Information

    Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

    Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

    Colorado monthly base range is as follows:
    $8,583.33 to $10,833.33
    We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package.

    Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week.

    Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date.

    In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use.

    A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff.

    Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time.

    Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
