    As a Benefits Specialist at SCS Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in administering employee benefits programs with precision and compliance while embodying our purpose to align individual success with the company's overarching goals.

    Your expertise will be essential in addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to benefits, contributing to a workplace where every member feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

    Collaborating closely with HR, finance, and external vendors, you'll ensure seamless processing of invoices and provide dedicated support to our employees, further enhancing organizational success.

    You will be reporting to the Benefits Manager and you can be hybrid in the Long Beach office (2 days/week in the office).

    How you can make an impactConduct day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and other benefits offered by the company.

    Reconcile benefit invoices in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure prompt payment and appropriate allocation of expenses.
    Provide excellent customer service to employees on benefits-related inquiries, eligibility, claim resolution, and other issues.
    Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communication with employees, plan changes, and organizing informational sessions.

    Collaborate with external benefits vendors as needed to resolve participant and billing issuesMaintain accurate benefits records and ensure confidentiality and security of employee information in compliance with data protection regulations.

    Assist with tracking part-time and variable hour employees to ensure offer of benefits is delivered within appropriate timeframes.
    Assist with benefits-related training sessions for HR and employees to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the available benefits.
    Proactively identify areas for process improvement, streamlining benefits administration, and enhancing the overall employee experience.
    QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    Minimum of 3 years in benefits administration or a similar HR role required.
