    Posting Details

    This posting will be used for 30 days to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until the position and/or positions have been filled. Facility is LTC. Work hours are 3 pm to 11 pm.

    Why does the job exist?

    Incumbent will be responsible for providing nursing care to meet the needs of the patients in the LTC facility. Incumbent will be responsible for providing direction/guidance to direct care staff and implementation/direction of all nursing activities towards common hospital goals.

    How does it get done?

    Incumbents will administer all types of medications to include oral and injectable for the purpose of relieving anxiety, controlling behavior and treating physical problems. Perform various treatments ordered by the physicians to assure patient's optimal physical/mental wellbeing.

    Ideal Candidate

    Ideal candidate will have:
    Experience caring for the mentally ill;
    Experience in providing comprehensive nursing care;
    Experience in administration of all types of medications;
    Must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act Section through NMSA 1978 and through NMAC, as applicable.

    Minimum Qualification

    Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico OR eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements OR Eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico OR a Graduate Nurse with a ¿permit-to-practice¿.
