    Description

    Job Title:

    Materials CoordinatorType:ContractLocation:Pearland, TXThe Materials Coordinator is responsible for Part Number creation support and requisition creation support to completion including alternative material specifications, additional specification requirements, and quality control requirements.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance and continual improvement
    • Adhere to and support the Company Tenets of Team Principles, Information Security, Quality, and HSE
    • Ensure compliance with departments standard procedures
    • Place a high emphasis on maintaining and fostering positive working relationships with customers (internal and external)
    • Take upstream PR's and mine drawings, engineering, purchasing, and other specifications for additional required information to populate the complete PR
    • Ensure that QA / QC requirements are accurately reflected in PR
    • Creation of SAP part numbers and purchase requisitions for the purchase of materials released by engineering personnel
    • Monitor the Engineering release of bills of materials on a regular basis and maintain targeted goal of leadtime from bill of material release to creation of purchase request
    • Work closely with CSB and Procurement to optimize the information in purchases requests to mitigate any internal or external issues with procuring materials
    • Stay current with progress of assigned jobs and update Project Planner as needed
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without noticeRequirements
    • Solid organizational and analytical abilities needed to prioritize daily workload
    • Familiarity with SAP
    • Demonstrable solid oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent typing skills as needed for data entry
    • Extreme attention to detailPreferred Skills
    • Engineering major, or technical exposure to engineering drawings and specifications
    • Product knowledge preferred in manufacturing environment with understanding of BOM structure
    • Turbomachinery/rotating equipment exposure with specific emphasis on centrifugal compressor and steam turbine component parts
    • Self-motivated with ability multi-task under minimal supervision
