Minimum Qualifications

_Electronics Technician I_

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus two (2) years experience in repair and maintenance of electronics such as communications, computer and peripheral or control and instrumentation equipment.
Twelve (12) semester hours of college credit in electronics, communications technology, engineering technology, computer science or related field may substitute for one year of the required experience with a maximum substitution of two (2) years.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

None.

_Electronics Technician II_

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent plus three (3) years experience in repair and maintenance of electronics such as communications, computer and peripheral or control and instrumentation equipment.
Twelve (12) semester hours of college credit in Electronics, Communications Technology, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience up to a maximum of two (2) years.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

None.
