    About

    SuperFastScooter, an electric urban mobility startup, is on the lookout for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in vehicle design, preferably in the motorsports, aerospace or electric vehicle (EV) industry. This pivotal role involves steering the design and development of cutting-edge electric kick scooters, marking a significant step towards sustainable urban transport.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Spearhead the mechanical design and development of new scooter models, focusing on innovation, performance, and user safety.
    • Apply advanced engineering principles from the aerospace or EV sectors to optimize scooter design for aerodynamics, structural integrity, and energy efficiency.
    • Lead the development and integration of high-performance battery packs, utilizing the latest advancements in EV technology.
    • Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from concept through to production, ensuring designs meet functional requirements and industry standards.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electronics, software, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive and efficient product development.
    • Mentor junior engineers and design team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in aerospace or electric vehicle design.
    • Expertise in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor) for complex mechanical assemblies and component design.
    • Proven track record in vehicle engineering, demonstrating a deep understanding of the mechanical and dynamic aspects of vehicle design.
    • Experience in designing, prototyping, and testing battery systems and electric propulsion units is highly valued.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
    • Strong leadership qualities, with experience in managing projects and guiding engineering teams.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
