Description
Position Overview:
As a Construction Project Manager located in Lisle, IL, you will lead projects from initial concept planning to construction management to final punch list, overseeing the full project lifecycle from small-scale paint jobs to extensive interior projects and ground-up developments.
Schedule and supervise general contractors and/or subcontractors ensuring adherence to project-specific scopes of work.
Maintain transparent communication with clients/tenants, providing regular updates on project schedules and completion status.
Maintain records of all change orders and inspections on specific jobs.
Develop and oversee project-specific budgets to ensure financial success.
Facilitate update meetings with operations, contractors, and clients, fostering continuous communication.
Review site plans and blueprints to ensure project alignment with established goals.
Assist with pre-project estimating based on proposed project scope.
Cultivate and manage relationships with contractors, architects, and vendors.
Participate in weekly meetings with the Project Team to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with the Architect and client regarding project design, drawing scope, and review.
Review and present monthly project job costs, labor, and projections to senior management and ownership.
Document project progress using photographs.
Execute additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 5 to 10 years of construction management experience required.
Strong organizational skills, including the maintenance of daily schedules and the management of documents and emails.
Exceptional time management abilities.
Proven capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Knowledgeable in construction practices, building codes, and building systems.
Proficient in reading construction drawings and site plans.
Project estimating skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Experience with CAD or similar software is a plus.
General Requirements
Must be capable to travel from property to property, floor to floor and climb a ladder.
Must be able to sit or stand for a prolonged period of time.
Must have access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
Required to work in the office or at the job site, this is not a remote position.
