Job/Position Summary
The Operations Project Manager is responsible project management across various Operations assignments.


Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations Project Manager will help define scope, steps, impacted parties and necessary support teams needed to execute the assigned project(s) on time and on budget.

The project manager will follow up with reoccurring cadence to ensure compliance to plan, ensure task completion, and escalations when required.

The project manager will be responsible for a monthly leadership report out and accountability cadence to brief the organization on tracking to plan, risks, and impacts.


Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Project management
  • Leads Operations projects across the organization, and coordinates and prioritizes related activities between organizations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the team.
  • Manage project scope and changes.
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.
  • Manage the daytoday project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing changes.
  • Communicates and captures requirements in a way that people can understand them.
  • Builds out timing plans and action item lists and maintains them.
  • Will lead preparation and delivery of major Project proposals and presentations.
  • Manages budgets, costs, and projections associated to the project together with the Finance organization.
  • Maintains lessons learned history from projects and has post project closeout reviews to ensure continuous improvement on future projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Energetic, motivated individual with a solid background in Operations and Manufacturing.
  • Ability to concurrently handle a variety of projects and coordinate the efforts of indirect reports and crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to work with inhouse and outside support groups.
  • Ability to independently work with outside professionals.
  • Strong skills in communicating with all levels of management.
  • Strong ability to analyze and use technical data and resources.
  • Required excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Background required in manufacturing and operations required.
  • Ability to travel for project reviews, status meetings, and follow up globally up to 30%.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in a technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing in Automotive, medical, Industrial or Aerospace.
  • 5+ years of experience with production transfers and moves required.
  • Demonstrated positive communication and human relation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Power Point.
