We are seeking to appoint a senior consultant with a proven background in delivering projects and programs in the clean energy sector to lead the continued success and expansion of our clean energy and decarbonization service offering in the US.
Responsibilities
- _ Market offer_ - contributing to the ongoing development of our project and programs offering, including service approaches, best practices, etc.
- _ Strategy_ - working with our global leadership and in-country teams to determine and implement a sector strategy.
- _ Opportunities_ - identifying opportunities and leading project and program pursuits across the US, increasing our market share and influence within the clean energy and transmission sectors.
- _ Partnerships_ - leading on development of strategic partnerships to enable opportunities, proposition, and delivery.
- _ Execution_ - serve as a project director / leader of our service on new commissions.
- _ Capability development_ - build a team and lead the development and nurturing of talent, in line with strategy and opportunities.
- _ Assurance_ - development of core assurance methodology associated with the projects in the local market.
- _ Growth_ - enable and achieve financial targets and continued growth within target markets, with responsibility for P&L.
- _ Thought leadership_ - author publications and speak at industry events related to best practices and innovation within clean energy and transmission.
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level within construction and / or engineering.
- Professional chartership desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to establish robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to access and influence key decision makers within clients, regulatory bodies, and government.
- Strategically minded with a considered and consistent approach to decisionmaking and leadership.
- Proactive approach to business development via new and existing clients, including crossselling opportunities, and leading pursuits and tenders.
- Ability to serve in the capacity of a 'doer / leader' someone who can deliver the service while growing talent and the pipeline nationally.
- Considerable construction industry experience from a project / program / cost management or project controls background.
- Extensive experience working in the clean energy sector, ideally in transmission and / or renewables, with a proven track record in successfully delivering major projects and programs.
- A broad understanding of the electricity value chain from generation, through grid, and into supply.
- Experience of working within both client and consultant environments an advantage.
- Preference for US experience with an established network within the power industry supply chain.
- Experience working with global accounts and supporting the growth of those relationships.
