- Maintain simulator software models and conduct testing to enhance performance and address discrepancies between the reference plant and the simulator (software specialist)
- Identify and resolve simulator issues, troubleshoot software and hardware problems, acquire necessary parts and supplies, conduct repairs, and test solutions for success
- Collaborate with simulator instructional staff to ensure accuracy and performance consistency
- Support station initiatives, outages, Emergency Planning (EP) tasks, and other relevant projects
- Proven expertise in C++ and FORTRAN software development, debugging tools, and Microsoft Visual StudioTM
- Willingness to work flexible hours to fulfill simulator maintenance and testing needs for training schedules
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Capability to independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve simulator software issues, design testing schedules, conduct program diagnostics, and implement software patches
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering
- Four or more years as a nuclear simulator software specialist or six years in a technical nuclear field
- Training in thermal power plant fundamentals and nuclear plant systems operations

Simulator Engineer
Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI) is looking for a skilled Simulator Software Engineer to be part of the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant team in Covert, MI.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and testing the Training Simulator in compliance with Nuclear Power Plant Simulator standards.
