    Description

    Tulane University School of Medicine invites applications for a research track Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications) position in the Department of Medicine who will conduct clinical and/or population health research focused on prevention and management of chronic and related diseases as a member of the newly established school-wide Center for Health Outcomes, Implementation and Community-Engaged Science (CHOICES).

    With established community partners in the Gulf South, the Center is actively engaged in T3-T4 translational research focused on health outcomes, adherence behaviors, health equity, and dissemination and implementation research and conducts primarily federally funded (e.g, NIH) clinical trials, observational studies, and secondary analyses of existing databases.

    Having some experience working with groups that have been economically/socially marginalized and stakeholder engagement will be a plus. The selected candidate will work directly with the Center Director, Dr.

    Krousel-Wood in expanding the research portfolio on patient-centered health and behavioral outcomes research, health equity, and dissemination and implementation research.

    The successful candidate will be expected to develop and support an active extramurally funded research program.

    Seeking an individual with:

    • Terminal degree (e.g., medical, public health or equivalent doctorate)
    • Experience in clinical, population, and / or community-based research
    • Excellent research, analytic, and statistical programming skills
    • Commitment to excellence in community-engaged research to address health disparities
    • Research experience in an academic setting
