    Description
    Essential FunctionsIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiencies and lower costsPerform technical studies, analyze operations and operating costsAudit internal/external technical dataAssist in the decision-making process for directing changeEstablish new methods and procedures as needed to improve current and future processEvaluate inventory levels, alternate products, vendorsMonitor, troubleshoot, and adjust assigned manufacturing process areas to optimize productivity and qualityReview daily operations with the Superintendent and SupervisorsAssist in monitoring and training the workforce in proper methods and proceduresAssist in preparing area reports for accounting and management, conduct monthly and year-endGather and analyze information to provide support in developing annual capital and operating budgets, as well as goals and objectives, under the direction of the Manager Reduction TechnologyDirect the technical and cost activities required for special projectsMaintain regular operations in the absence of the Operations SuperintendentEducation/Training RequirementsBachelor-level degree in Engineering plus 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the metal industry (co-op student experience is acceptable)
