DESCRIPTION:


The Patient Support Services Supervisor supports the Hillcrest Critical Care Support Services by managing the administrative operations of multiple patient support services departments for the Medical Center.

Administrative oversight includes developing objectives and policies, developing and monitoring department budgets, evaluating department productivity and personnel performance, and evaluating requests for new or additional services for departments under direction.

Activities also include contributing to strategic planning and directing all activities of patient support services departments through subordinate staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Seven (7) years of relevant telemetry monitoring experience/ training
    to include at least two (2) years of lead/supervisory experience OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area and three (3) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of a Telemetry ECG technician program, Telemetry Tech orientation, or EKG Class.
  • BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
  • Ability to supervise administrative and / or paratechnical team. Ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable patient care support activities and systems.
  • Working knowledge of human resources activities including the ability to monitor, evaluate, and document employee performance.
  • Ability to employ critical thinking to analyze issues, develop recommendations, and resolve problems.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$67,200 - $119,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $57.28

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
