DESCRIPTION:


This position assists with planning, designing, developing, implementing and administering data-based systems that acquire, prepare, store and provide access to data and metadata.

Supports the maintenance of systems and migration of data. Ensures integrity and completeness of data. Assists with the Evaluation/reevaluation of frameworks, strategies, standards and standards-making activities. May involve work with a project-level data repository, a center or an archive.


Under supervision applies professional concepts, department / unit and campus / medical center / OP methodologies and procedures to resolve routine data / information management problems.

Works on problems of limited scope to provide data / information management support. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data / information from which answers can be readily obtained.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Understanding of data management operations and database administration, including data modeling, data definition, data conversion and management of content or unstructured information.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Selfmotivated and works independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated service orientation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from realworld processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
  • Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript) and experienced with data processing frameworks (e.g. Logstash, Elastic Beats/Agent/Fleet).

Annual Full Pay Range:
$61,800 - $108,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $51.72


Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
