- Scheduling Coordination:
- Develop and maintain schedules for the production and delivery of truck bodies and chassis from suppliers, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow and allocate resources effectively.
- Communicate with internal clients to coordinate delivery dates and address any scheduling conflicts or changes.
- Purchasing Management:
- Source and procure truck bodies, chassis, and other major equipment from suppliers and vendors, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to meet production demands.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products, staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Logistics Oversight:
- Coordinate the transportation of unfinished bodies, chassis, and completed trucks between manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and clients.
- Optimize logistical processes to minimize costs, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Manage inventory tracking systems to monitor the movement and storage of equipment throughout the supply chain.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotes, order confirmations, shipping documents, inventory levels, and production schedules.
- Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
