    What You'll Do

    The VP, Corporate Finance provides critical support for the strategic growth of the company.

    Corporate Development:
    • Support corporate development activities across the organization through involvement in identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Oversee the development of financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Assess the financial and operational impact of potential deals on the company's performance.
    • Oversee the financial due diligence and post-deal integration including coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of transactions are managed effectively.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
    • Coordinate preparation of quarterly board meetings, including collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging, alignment with corporate objectives, and ownership of presentation materials.
    • Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial reports, projections, and other materials as required.
    Strategic Finance:
    • Work alongside senior leadership on new initiatives and special projects by developing financial models to support strategic decision-making pertaining to long-range growth strategies.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to develop critical business strategies and use analytical and financial modeling to translate conceptual ideas into operational business plans.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics against benchmarks.
    • Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements and recommend financial or operational solutions.
    Treasury Management:
    • Own preparation and analysis of Horizon's short and long-term cash forecasting.
    • Oversee monitoring, reporting, and forecasting performance of the company's investment portfolios.
    • Ensure compliance with financial covenants and debt agreements through ongoing monitoring of financial performance against covenants and managing bank reporting requirements.
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with banking partners, financial institutions, and service providers.
    • Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that could impact the company's financial risk exposure.
    Team Management & Supervision
    • Ensure an inclusive environment for team members to be their whole selves & do their best work.
    • Provide ongoing, real-time, performance feedback to direct reports to ensure continued team growth.
    • Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensure team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills.
    • Ensure team members have the support needed to achieve development goals.
    • Active role in conversations around staffing needs
    • Promote the work of both junior and senior team members, set a positive team environment.
    Preferred Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA a bonus.
    • 10+ years relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction support, or a related finance role
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with all levels of management and external parties
    • Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams and multiple stakeholders
    • Proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
    • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and US GAAP

    Salary Range
    $200, $260,000.00

    A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.
