Project Management / Roving Grants and Compliance Advisor (m/f/d)


As a member of the Grant Management team, you will be responsible for contract and project management of projects within the areas of humanitarian aid, transitional aid, and development cooperation for the Oxfam network.

Our projects are funded by various institutional donors and partners, including the Federal Foreign Office, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, GIZ, and KFW.

The role includes travel to project countries for project monitoring and capacity building on site.


Your tasks in detail:

  • Ensuring compliance with donor guidelines by advising and supporting Oxfam offices worldwide, both virtually and on site
  • Responsibility for accompanying and managing thirdparty funded projects:
  • Regular monitoring of project progress
  • Regular review of fund disbursement
  • Advising country offices on contract terms and relevant regulations (ANBest / BNBest)
  • Review of internal financial reports
  • Management of invoice verification
  • Preparation of financial and narrative interim reports and expenditure statements
  • Support in the preparation of funding applications to institutional donors
  • Maintenance of project data in Excel and internal project management software
  • Communication with donors, partners, and colleagues regarding ongoing projects

Your qualifications:

  • Completed degree in business administration or a similar field
  • Several years of experience in project implementation and/or (financial) management, ideally with at least one year of experience in a nonEuropean country
