Position Description & Duties: Responsible as trained for all grilled, fried, sauts, soups, sauces, eggs, omelets, food prep and recipes in the kitchen. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen work station. Cooks will clean during and at the end of their shift.

We train in the different stations until each employee knows the entire kitchen.

Must be knowledgeable of the Health Department standards.
Starting wages depend on job history and experience.
A minimum of one year in a food preparation preferred but not required.
Must be interested in cooking relevant, is mentally sharp and self-motivated, enjoys/encourages positive team work, and able to follow written instruction and recipes. Desires to foster a healthy work environment.
Must be able to exert fast paced mobility for periods of up to six hours in length. Must have the ability to lift cases, pots, pans (etc.) up to 50 pounds in weight.
Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop, frequently. Must possess finger dexterity to use knives & small tools adeptly.
During closing, must perform deep sweeps and moping entire kitchen, refrigerator, freezer and other back of house areas as assigned daily.

We are a neighborhood business and family owned and developed since 2009. The Cafs have remained consistently busy and voted 'Best Breakfast and Service' since opening in 2009.

All of our menu items are made fresh with the best ingredients, while ensuring our meals come with a taste of home cooking.

We offer meals with originality, from Huckleberry stuffed French toast and pancakes, homemade corned beef hash, Italian Joe Special, Reuben Sandwich and homemade sausages.

Steven and I, have been in the Helena restaurant industry since 1999, when we opened the Montana City Grill, in Montana City. We sold that after eight years and opened the first Steve's Caf on Custer Avenue in 2009. A second one followed in Meridian, Idaho, which has been purchased by a previous employee. A third one was opened in Helena on Montana Ave.
