    Description
    Preferred work location is hybrid (both on-site and remote). However, 100% remote will be considered depending on candidate qualifications and experience. When needed, on-site work may be performed in Albuquerque, NM or Killeen, TX.

    Regardless of hybrid or remote status, periodic travel to Albuquerque, NM and Killeen, TX, and other locations will be required.

    Travel is expected to be no more than 25%.

    Job Summary


    Responsible for supporting the business by providing analysis and insight in areas of financial and operational performance, departmental KPI's, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

    This role prepares analysis and corresponding presentation materials. Does not currently supervise direct reports but will likely do so in the future.


    Essential Tasks/Functions:

    • Deep understanding of financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models of the company, including long range forecast models, cash flow models, project finance models, and/or other models as may be requested.
    • Analyzing relevant information, trends, and data to support decision making and forecasting.
    • Prepare financial analysis of current operations to identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare cost/benefit analysis on proposed projects and investments.
    • Prepare ad hoc operational and financial analysis and special projects.
    • Creation of monthly reporting packages for leadership.
    • Provide support to leaders to drive performance and ongoing decision making.
    • Ownership of annual budget and forecasting process.
    • Partner with accounting team to refine processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Assist functional leaders and other areas of the business in reporting and analysis of results.
    • Ability to understand core business and partner with functional leads to drive operational performance metrics.
    • Provide input and recommendations for process improvements by respectfully challenging historical practices.
    • Partner with operations team as financial leader for strategy and growth.
    • Proactively build relationships with others to better understand and utilize the resources available to the business.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Finance or Accounting from four-year college or university


    Experience:
    Seven (7) to ten (10) years directly related work experience. Formal education or training above the four-year degree requirement may be accepted in lieu of some work experience. Consolidated budget management including orders and revenue, segment expenses, profit, and cash. Cash Flow and Balance Sheet modeling experience required, strong understanding of Working Capital.


    Computer Skills:
    Excellent PC skills with MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

    • Ability to analyze and/or organize complex information with broad direction.
    • Identify trends and actively seek input and opinions of stakeholders.
    • Ability to develop and present recommendations from analysis. Offers solutions and designs to solve process, project, or program issues.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business situations, strategies, theory, processes, management, budgeting, and operations.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the company.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education:
    Graduate degree in Business or Accounting; professional certifications in relevant fields


    Experience:
    Finance or accounting experience in commercial healthcare or aviation industries. Experience with NPV, IRR, ROI and other valuation metrics. Experience developing new financial models. Previous roles with heavy ad hoc analysis requirements. Process Improvement / Process Transformation / Process Implementation experience.


    Computer Skills:
    Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau)
