Working for Lumen and Xcel Energy the past year provided exposure to forecasting and planning that included significant cross-functional interaction, model building and maintenance, critical thinking challenges, review and analysis of key contract terms, and the challenge of managing multiple projects, often remote and with limited direction. While I learned a lot from both experiences that strengthened my FP&A understanding and foundation gained in college, my long-term interest is working in a more entrepreneurial environment.
