$90,000 - $105,000


Hours:
Monday-Friday regular work days minimum 40 hours

Usual hours of operation are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Summary:

The Quality Manager position oversees the development, implementation and management of manufacturing and manufacturing support systems designed to ensure consistent production with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.

The position supervises a team of quality control inspectors and process specialists.


TASKS:

  • Manage team to evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Determine root causes and recommend changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods when necessary.
  • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Supervise Quality Control Inspectors, Process Engineer(s) and Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Provide analysis of financial impact to management when necessary.
  • Complete Inspection Reports and documentation packages for customers to provide with order
shipments.

  • Maintain an active role on continuous improvement team.
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service and investigate customer issues
and complaints relating to quality.

  • Maintain calibration schedules and records for inspection tools.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proficient in general manufacturing quality standards
  • Bilingual not required but preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse staff
  • Good mechanical and aptitude skills
  • Reasonable experience with, and understanding of operational efficiencies
  • Ability to think logically and orderly
  • Willing to keep an open mind and to objectively accept and deliver constructive criticism
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to everchanging situations
  • Selfstarter able to recognize the need for, develop, and implement new processes as required to improve the efficiency of the company
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collect, manage and analyze data, as well as problem solve.
  • Organized, show good judgement and decisionmaking abilities
  • Knowledgeable about safety procedures.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Industrial Technology or significant (10years) experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering.

License/Certification:
Green Belt in Six Sigma desired but not required.

  • Strong psychological stamina to work under pressure to meet deadlines without omissions or errors
  • Interface productively with all employees, customers and contractors

  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
  • Noise level in work environment may be loud.
