Description

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a part-time Teacher of Performing Arts, Lower and Middle Schools beginning September 1, 2024.

A Master's degree or higher in music education or performance is preferred.

The responsibilities of the position include:

Teaching beginning woodwinds (alto saxophone, clarinet, flute) for Grades 4-6 and co-directing the beginning band courses for these grade;
Directing the Upper School Beginning Jazz Band;
Preparing students for concerts and various performances, including those during Community Time and Chapel gatherings; and
Conducting woodwind clinics for students in the 7/8 Jazz Band and the Upper School Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Bands.

Preferred experience includes proficiency with music notation software such as Finale, Sibelius, or Dorico.

Salary range:
$69,200 - $165,700 (salary based upon experience)
