SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION/ROLE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- _Support the MTA's Department of Safety & Security by obtaining security related information through various sources and MTA agencies._
- _Scanning for common statistical data._
- _Compile data fields, enter data, and assign priorities for data collection and gathering._
- _Clarify and structure data to ensure it is suitable for reporting and analysis._
- _Design and developing action plans._
- _Hosting collaboration meetings with other agencies & departments & keeping participants and stakeholders appraised and on track._
- _Integrate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)'s._
- _Ensuring the final RMS product meets Agency needs._
- _Develop a Rollout schedule._
- _Assisting the MTA in RMS rollout_
- _Implement measures to ensure Agency-wide implementation._
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- _A Bachelor's degree issued after the completion of a four-year program at an accredited college in Criminal Justice, Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Security Management or a related field._
- _Proven written and oral communication skills in English as well as the ability to collect and interpret data effectively from various verbal and written sources._
- _Solid experience in working with Program Management and related databases._
- _Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dissect large amounts of data._
- _Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information._
- _Experience in the Security and /or transportation industry is considered a plus._
- _4+ years of experience in developing Reporting and Dashboards_
- _Proven ability to act in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude._
- _Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced and high intensity emergency environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor._
- _Proven ability to make critical decisions based on current data, past experience, and business rules._
- _Good communication skills to translate business requirements into Dashboards and Reporting_
- _Proven ability to effectively complete multiple critical parallel/concurrent tasks (multi-tasking)._
- _Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skill in relating technical information to non-technical personnel._
- _Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization._
A) Specialized Knowledge Preferred
- _Previous administration, operation, or maintenance/installation experience with computer records management systems._
- _Geographical familiarity with the New York Metropolitan region._
- _Previous experience in mass/public transportation systems._
- _Familiarity with RMS computer systems and databases._
