is searching for a Master (M/F/d) to join our team in Olowalu, HI starting in June for our third rescue mission of the year.

Our organization was founded in 2015 with the goal of preventing the loss of life in the Mediterranean Sea.

With our rescue ship SEA-EYE 4, we actively search for and assist those in distress on the world's deadliest migration route.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the operation of the ship in close collaboration with the Head of Mission.
This includes managing and navigating the ship, as well as ensuring the safety of the crew and guests on board.
You will work with the Head of Mission to familiarize the crew with the ship, regular tasks, and general procedures on board.
In the event of a rescue operation, you will be responsible for the evacuation, wellbeing, and disembarkation of guests on board, working closely with the Head of Mission.

Qualifications:

Valid certificates of competency according to STCW II/2, IV/2, VI/2(1), VI/3, and German Endorsement are required.
A valid certificate of fitness for sea service is also necessary.
Previous experience in ship management is preferred.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills are essential.
Fluency in English is required.
Ideally, you have experience in (civil) sea rescue and working with volunteers on board.
