- Ensure regulatory compliance of department programs by meeting with Legal, Regulatory Relations, and CPUC, supporting investigations, data requests, and Notices of Violations.
- Plan and manage field and program inspections by regulators.
- Communicate compliance performance findings to directors and governance committees.
- Support Gas Emergency Response Plan incident command structure.
- Provide leadership to the Gas Operations Support Team.
- Offer guidance, training, and supervision to employees on compliance matters.
- Shape compliance and risk programs to meet enterprise needs.
- Benchmark and implement best practices in compliance areas.
- Manage compliance inventories and control testing activities.
- Drive strategic risk management programs.
- Present compliance and risk performance to leadership.
- Support annual planning integrating risk reduction analyses with budgets.
- Lead Incident Command and Support Team activities if required.
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of related experience.

- MBA or MS, CIA certification, or professional auditor training.
- Knowledge of PG&E's gas operations and regulatory requirements.

Department Overview
Gas Regulatory and Risk teams focus on developing and maintaining gas guidance documents, liaising with federal and state regulators, ensuring compliance with code requirements and commitments, managing responses for internal and external requests, developing risk strategy and quantitative modeling, and leading risk-informed work plans. Teams within Gas Regulatory and Risk serve both Gas Engineering and Gas Operations customers.
Position Summary
This role involves leading a team of compliance specialists and engineers responsible for overseeing district/division field and program inspections by state/federal regulators on PG&E's gas assets. Tasks include preparing inspection response letters, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in compliance-related meetings. The position requires providing thought leadership to enhance compliance performance.

This hybrid role involves up to 30% travel. The salary range for the position falls between $136,000 to $232,000 in the Bay Area. Participation in PG&E's incentive compensation programs is possible.
