- Educational assistance opportunities
- Collaborates with the nurse manager leads front line nursing staff in the delivery of patient care
- Coaches and guide nursing staff in the implementation of action plans to achieve organizational goals of quality, efficiency, and excellence in practice.
- Adopts innovative nursing practices based on evidence
- Communicates and problem-solves at the unit and organizational level
- Collaborates with the nurse manager to complete the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of nursing staff
- Ensures nursing staff compliance
- Implements changes in nursing practice and/or patient care through shared governance
- Education/Training/Experience:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- National Nursing Leadership Certification (when eligible).
- Related Nursing Specialty Certification

ASSOCIATE NURSE MANAGER JOB SUMMARY The Surgical unit has 41 private rooms and is located on the third floor.
This unit cares for patients who are above 17 years of age who require medical/surgical nursing care. The primary population served is surgical including, but not limited to, orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology and general surgery.This unit also serves general medical patients with a diagnosis including but not limited to:
sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, skin and wound conditions and infections.
