- Documents work and maintains good laboratory records in notebooks and on controlled documentation (good documentation practices).
- Work independently under minimal supervision to create a work plan for the synthesis of compounds.
- Must be able to document complex solutions and offer suggestions on improving processes.
- Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, with the ability to solve problems that may arise.
- Assists with primary data review as needed.
- Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
- MS degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years lab and synthesis related work experience
- Strong familiarity with chemical synthesis equipment such as HPLC, LC-MS etc.
- Detail oriented, organized and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to write correspondence and reports.
- Proactive and open attitude to learn on the job.
- Excellent organizational skills.
