- Successfully perform organic reactions to synthesize novel drug-like compounds on small (5-10 mg) and larger (1-10g) scales including isolation of products with the appropriate use of recrystallization, column chromatography, and prep-HPLC
- Maintain notebook and characterization data, including NMR and LC-MS spectra of new compounds
- Develop an understanding of the structure activity relationships (SAR) for analogs on the project. Application of this knowledge to the design and synthesis of new analogs for projects
- Perform literature searches
- The ability to work well in diverse teams is very important as the candidate will interact significantly with researchers at all levels of ability in the lab
- Strong written, verbal communications and computer skills are essential.
- Discusses progress of work regularly with supervisor.

- High School Diploma Required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication.
