Description
Front Desk Attendant at our Wanskuck Branch, 550 Branch Avenue in Providence. This job starts on June 24, 2024. Hours for the summer are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. There may also be an opportunity to continue working during the school year, after the summer, if mutually agreeable. Looking for a customer-service-oriented multi-tasker for a busy youth organization. Run front desk check-in and sign-out point for children, parents/guardians and visitors, following organization's policies and procedures. Monitor security for front door entrance (operate buzzer access system). Perform daily data entry for program attendance and new enrollments. Answer phone; answer or direct inquiries. Provide program information to children, teens and their family adults. Assist with billing for childcare services and other programs. Distribute bills; receive and process payments.

Required:
high school diploma, at least one year of Front Desk/Reception or related work experience, customer-service skills, handling payments (checks and credit cards), good verbal and written skills, ability to maintain calm and positive demeanor while multi-tasking, welcoming and positive attitude with children, ability to successfully resolve conflicts, flexibility, teamwork


Preferred:

ability to speak and understand Spanish a strong plus; prior work experience in a youth organization a strong plus.

Paid time off as per legal requirements (RI "Sick & Safe Leave" law).

Payrate:
$16.00 per hour
