    We're seeking a Moving Team Manager who is passionate about unique treasures, providing excellent customer service, and ultimately, driving the EBTH experience for our valued buyers and sellers.

    TASKS YOU'LL BE JUGGLING

    • Lead the Move Team who drive our customer facing experiences of the uncommon products we pack, pick up and deliver.
    • Work closely and solidify our relationship with 3rd party carriers we rely on, ensuring they know our SOP's, solve problems, and find efficiencies.
    • Work closely with leaders in Sales, Home Services, Operations, Receiving, etc. to develop the Supply Chain strategies that prioritize initiatives that improve operational capabilities and effectiveness.
    • Be the expert on the move team dynamics and the vehicles we use, ensuring logistics strategies are in place, consistent processes and optimized costs.
    • Manage our DOT #, truck leases, vans and preventative maintenance strategies.
    • Coordinate Inbound Home Services with the Receiving Team.
    • Ensure that the inbound team has the right guidance, expectations and help teams on effective development techniques.
    • In partnership with internal and external partners (finance/legal/etc.), ensure that contracting practices are as effective as possible, ensure inbound moves occur with a quality perspective and risk to EBTH is mitigated.
    • In consultation with leadership, develop a core set of metrics to measure and assess our transportation efficiency and success.
    • Review organization transportation structures and staffing levels to ensure effective and cost-efficient support to programs.
    • Verify that transportation policies are appropriate, documented, disseminated and required monitoring processes are effective.
    • Work to improve transparency and communication for internal partners.
    • Ensure compliance of safety rules and regulations.
    • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
    • Participate as needed onsite during moves. Including physical movement of items, seller communication, providing team hands on direction and communication with Home Services onsite field support team members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    PEOPLE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for providing team members timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing team members to their fullest potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance team member career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding team members for accomplishments. Additionally, this position will:

    • Select, train and develop an effective and efficient staff.
    • Interview applicants and select new team members.
    • Supervise the department orientation and training of new team members.
    • Recommend salary increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and dismissals in conformance with company policy and procedures.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews.

    CREDENTIALS WE ARE SEEKING

    • Minimum 5 years of progressive transportation professional experience or related.
    • Broad knowledge and experience in transportation strategies, carrier procurement and contracting, vehicle and fleet management, DOT knowledge and delivery.
    • Strong collaborator and influencer with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across departments and organizational units.
    • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
    • Excellent training and coaching ability.
    • Ability to travel up to 30 percent and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Effective communicator with the ability to set clear expectations, manage difficult situations, and problem solve.
    • Drive This business is fast-paced and challenging. A self-starter is a must
    • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, etc.).


    This role is based in Cincinnati, OH, and we are seeking candidates in this area, no relocation assistance is available for this role.
